We provide a full range of services to both the private and commercial customer. We are normally able to restore any piece of furniture or internal joinery to its former glory including chair, tables, book cases, panelling, staircases, church pulpits, from the relatively new twentieth century pieces to pre fifteenth century. We also offer a full french polishing service, ensuring that your furniture remains in pristine condition and is protected from everyday usage.

We are still very much a traditional company and as such we still use traditional polishing techniques including French polishing, oil polishing and traditional waxing. We also offer full modern finishing in our purpose built spray facility.

If required by the customer, we offer a full cabinet making service. This is ideal if you need an authentic copy of a piece to fit in with an existing collection or require a bespoke traditionally hand made article. Further details of what we can offer can be found on our services page.

We have compiled a portfolio of some of our projects to date, showing various pieces before and after restoration. These photos and breif descriptions of the projects can be found on our portfolio page.

A G Podmore & son are proud to be members of the York Consortium for Conservation and Craftsmanship.
