"We used A G Podmore & Son Ltd to strip and respray with a hard wearing lacquer. The table under carriage was touched up. Six dining chairs had back Joints were reset and glued and retouched. Rocking Chair frame stripped to natural state and finished with clear varnish. Touch up service on various furniture items in the home. Home visit to assess work required, items collected and returned and reassembled. Good communication and work completed within 2 weeks as advised. Delighted with finished refurbishment which reflected the quality of work carried out. We can recommend this company and would use it them again."

"Our 15 year old Ercol dining table was past its best, so I looked on line for a local furniture restorer. I sent an email and photos to A G Podmore and David telephoned me to discuss within 24 hours. Very friendly and helpful. They collected the table, took it to their workshop and worked their magic. The table was stripped, re-varnished and returned looking like new within 10 days. An excellent service at a reasonable price."

"I am eternally grateful to Podmores. My Charles Eames lounger collapsed - the plastic shoe joining the arm rest to the back rest failed (as they do) and I could not find anyone anywhere prepared to mend it. I approached Podmores on the off chance. They got the (special) glue from Germany and the plastic shoes from America and I have my treasured chair back in one piece. They have a "whatever it takes" attitude."

"The Podmore team have recently French Polished our banister, which had become badly bleached by the sun over the years. It has been beautifully restored, we are delighted. David came out to look at the job, gave us a prompt estimate, and the work was carried out shortly afterwards.
